Who we are
Who we are
Helping our community respond to the challenges of our times with focus, compassion, and resilience.
Everywhere we look, our community included, good people with good intentions struggle to solve problems. From everyday stressors to major societal issues, today's world can be overwhelming. Mindfulness gives us the skills and ability to respond to these challenges with more focus, compassion, and resilience.
Science shows that people learn best from those they know and trust. By empowering community leaders to bring mindfulness-based skills, tools, and resources to their networks, we are helping spread compassion, patience, and resilience across Jackson and beyond.
While it starts on an individual level, mindfulness creates a ripple effect of positive impact for the whole community. We are transforming Jackson from the inside out and building a civic foundation that matches the strength and beauty of our mountains.
Mindfulness meets local-ness.
Becoming Jackson Whole is an official partner of the Mindful Cities Initiative, a project of the Foundation for a Mindful Society, alongside Flint, Michigan and Boston, Massachusetts.
